BMW DALLAS MARATHON 12.10.17
HELP TRANSFORM TODAY’S YOUTH INTO TOMORROW’S RUNNERS BY ADOPTING A PARTICIPATING SCHOOL!
The Oncor Mayor’s Race 5K takes place annually the day before the BMW Dallas Marathon. Launched in 2003, the race was designed by the Dallas Marathon and the Dallas Mayor’s office to help address the staggering rate of childhood obesity among youths – especially public school children – by encouraging exercise and healthy eating.
To engage students throughout the year, the BMW Dallas Marathon and generous individual and corporate sponsors created the Adopt-A-School Program. Through the Adopt-A-School Program, a company – no matter how large or small – or you as an individual can help fund students from a DISD campus to participate in the Oncor Mayor’s Race 5K.
A one-time contribution of $2,500 guarantees each school’s participating students will receive complimentary Oncor Mayor’s Race 5K entry, transportation to and from the race, a race participant shirt and a finisher’s medal.
When adopting a school, the BMW Dallas Marathon will assist your company in organizing additional community outreach programs such as runs with company employees and your school’s students to help them prepare for the race and encourage healthy exercise habits. With this donation, you’re not only giving these students the opportunity to improve their overall health and fitness, but also positively impacting their success inside the classroom.
If you are interested in adopting a school or would like to learn more about opportunities with the Oncor Mayor’s Race 5K, please email email@example.com or submit the interest form.
